It was most enjoyable meeting lots of people at the 2016 Isle of Man Art Festival (30 April – 3 May). A number of my stained glass pieces were displayed in the window of the Sayle Gallery Douglas and attracted people inside to see just how I create these unusual pieces.
I described the various processes, cutting, foiling and soldering whilst making colourful 3D waterlilies that are fine floated on a piece of wood in a pond. Some weathering of the solder would occur but many people felt that added to its charm.
Several opportunities arose from the weekend, I’ve been asked to demonstrate stained glass working at a school, to register on the Manx Art Directory and interest was shown in my creating a stained glass window for a house in the north of the island.
If you would like to have a unique stained glass work created just for you please click through to the ‘Contact Me’ page and complete the form for further information.
I was also asked about selling my work online, so I decided to set up an online shop offering a variety of pieces for sale. The shop will be online shortly.
